Before and After: Rustic Living and Dining Room Redesign

Interior Arrangement and Design Association members Katie Anglin and Diana Ezerins spiff up a dining and living room space with a sophisticated, rustic look. The room has beautiful open spaces and high ceilings, but the furniture arrangement makes it feel closed in. They angle the L-shaped furniture to open up the room and add a rug imported from the family room.

Before

They put some accessories together to make the room flow and feel more open. They also add more lighting for ambiance. The only thing they purchased were the slipcovers — an exhaustive trip through the homeowner's own cupboards revealed everything else they needed to complete this dramatic room redesign.
