Before and After: Old World Bedroom Makeover

Due to the size of the room, the best placement for the bed is in front of the window. Anderson builds a headboard using reclaimed lumber and a metal grate. While the bed has a sturdy, rustic presence, the metal grate still allows the light from the window into the room. At the foot of the bed, Anderson adds a steel scroll that he spray-painted black to match the grate. For a finishing touch, he places black metal curtain rod finials on the four posts.
