Before and After: Ocean Inspired Living Room Redesign

Bringing the outside in, Bromstad chooses a color palette of sand, turquoise and deep red accents. The furniture is still laid out in the same arrangement. A few ottomans are added to create more fluid seating arrangements; they tuck away under the coffee table when not needed. With the added color, the room looks warm and comfortable.

In a large space, play with light and intimacy. The sheers allow for more privacy while still allowing light through during the day. Bromstad creates a screen of light with the floor lamps he places behind the couches. It draws the attention to the center of the room at night for a cozier atmosphere.
