Adriana and Mark Botto have a beautiful living room with a stunning ocean view, but it's lacking one key thing – color. When designer David Bromstad looks around the house for color themes, he finds a lot of beige. A trip to the beach provides the colors of sky, ocean, sand and the Golden Gate Bridge for his design inspiration.
The living room connects to the kitchen via a pass-through bar, which features turquoise tiles. Since it is a permanent part of the architecture, the homeowners want to make it work as a part of the room. Right now it sticks out from the beige and white neutral color palette. It's time to bring both color and a cozy feel into the space.
