Redesigners Kelly Edge and Jackie Davis expand the furniture arrangement in a long, narrow living room.

  • The piano is relocated to the opposite wall to fill in the empty space. The top is draped with a throw and accessorized with metal sculptures.
  • The long sofas are situated in an L-shape in front of the fireplace which helps open up the seating area.
  • The matching side tables are replaced with a bamboo chest, brass-topped end table and black console sofa table.
  • Since there is no overhead lighting in the room, table and floor lamps are key.
  • Musical-themed accessories are grouped in front of the fireplace, on the mantel and on top of the grand piano.
