Gender Balanced Bedroom

Mirrored closet doors can be a stylistic challenge in a bedroom. McAloon made a stencil out of contact paper. The small pieces were affixed to the mirror to create a tree pattern on each door. Etching compound was applied and actually ate away at the glass to create a permanent frosted finish. If you want a less permanent effect, try frosting spray. McAloon finished the look by spray-painting the edges of the door silver to tie in with the bedroom's color palette.
