The Beeman family’s basement is full of old furniture and unused exercise equipment. Parents Peter and Elaine want it to be a dedicated space for their daughters Grace, Riley and Charlotte. The girls think the place is "yucky," they want more room to dance, have puppet shows and do art projects. Designer Valerie Thwing asked the girls what else was on their playroom wish list. They told her: a kitchen for tea parties, a putt-putt green, an ice skating rink and their own house.
