For most people, sitting in traffic is no fun. Candy Beagles was no exception — that is, until one evening last April. Sitting bumper to bumper at the mouth of the Holland Tunnel she caught the eye of Jimm Carroll. On the other side of the tunnel they exchanged numbers while they were both stopped at a traffic light. Their relationship quickly blossomed and they married this past October.
Now that they've made their home together, their bedroom reflects both of their styles and interests. It's filled with antiques and keepsakes that reflect both Candy and Jimm's childhood and personal interests. The dresser at the end of the bed is the perfect spot for displaying some of their favorite things.
The room is dominated by a copper-pipe canopy with plaid panels and sheer fabric to soften the look that Jimm designed. He also designed the covered steps leading up to his side of the bed, and when Candy moved in, he built one especially for her side.
