An Apartment for Entertaining

The redesigners started by angling the sofas off the back wall, which allows for better flow and a better view. The bar and two leather chairs are switched to expand the living space and add weight to the other side of the fireplace.

A large ottoman works well for a coffee table and a little greenery provides much-needed warmth. The triangular side table fits well between the two sofas.

A matchstick window shade is installed on the large picture window to provide a respite from the sun and to also diminish the view of the air conditioner.

Before

Before the makeover this apartment felt cramped and did not have a very open layout. Now with some simple furniture rearranging and a few minor additions this room feels open and functional.
