Amid the pale palette is a pop of red on the sofa.
When interior designer Nancy Bostwick first bought her home in Sausalito, California, she was taken back by the awesome view her living room window provided. That greenscape offered a perfect backdrop for her collection of botanical artwork and furniture. In the living room, she's mixed different patterns in subtle florals and colors, like pale pinks, greens, apricots and yellows, so as not to overwhelm the small space. The screen in the far corner is made of leather and the natural scene is completely handpainted with images of branches, leaves, flowers and birds. The adjacent dining room is a dual-purpose space and is furnished with a traditional dining set and a piano.
