A Den for Board Games

Kimberly and Anil's den has them stumped. They want colors that will create a comfortable space for Anil's home office and a play space for the kids. They tried one already, but the result was an overwhelming sea of green.

When they bought the house, the den had dark green carpeting and a fireplace with a dark green marble hearth. Because the carpeting was in good condition, they decided to decorate around it, painting the walls pale green, even though Kimberly admits to not liking green. They added black cabinets and countertop for Anil's workspace to match the black fireplace. Host Jane Lockhart is hoping a palette inspired by the family's love of board games will give them the confidence to delve back into the world of color.
