AfterNewlyweds Kim Chun and Fred Chung recently moved into their Spanish-style San Francisco house, which offers majestic views of the bay, Alcatraz and Fisherman's Wharf. Though they love the location and style of their home, they are not thrilled with the inadequate size and space of the master bathroom, but they aren't sure how to tackle a large project such as this alone. The couple hopes that experts can help them create a master bathroom that they will soon love as much as the rest of their home.
After careful consideration, they select Michelle Kaufmann and Camille Urban Jobe's design because they think it best utilizes the space and addresses their needs. A once cramped and cluttered bathroom is now a spacious spa retreat complete with its own lounge. The natural elements of earth, air, fire and water reflected in the various design elements throughout the space create a relaxing environment with a uniquely artistic flair. A faucet that fills the tub from the ceiling is just one of many new features and modern fixtures used to add character and accentuate the majesty of the bathroom. The soft color palette of the various materials used throughout the space create a feeling of warmth and elegance while graceful niches that mimic some of the existing architecture throughout the home are used to enhance the clean lines of the design and provide unity. This tranquil retreat is now the perfect place for these busy newlyweds to unwind from the daily stresses of city life.
