Materials and Tools:
flat panel door
desk leg kit (includes two legs)
small bookshelf
electric screwdriver
1 quart paint
paint brush
small paint roller
paint tray
Note: For this project, they used one small bookshelf for one side of the desk and two desk legs to support the other side. Depending on your needs, you could use two matching bookshelves for both sides or put desk legs at both ends.
Steps:
1. Paint the bookshelf and let dry.
2. Lay the door on a worktable or lean it against the wall. Use an electric screwdriver, and attach the base plates from the desk leg kit to one end of the door. For the best stability, place the legs a few inches in from the edge of the door. Screw the legs into the base plates and put the rubber feet on the bottoms of the legs.
3. Set the bookshelf at one end and lean the door down onto it so that the desk legs are at the end opposite the books shelf. Adjust the legs as necessary to get the desktop level.
