Joan Steffend and interior designer Joan MacDowell make over the family room of Governor Jesse Ventura's residence in the state of Minnesota. They have been invited by the Ventura family to make over the room so that it has an updated look with respect for the traditional decor. Joan MacDowell adds light to the room with oatmeal-colored fabric, new wall color to complement the cherry wood, a new seating arrangement and much more. In the drawing room of the Governor's mansion, interior designer Nancy Golden, redesigns the formal setting. She uses pieces that currently exist in the room and from around the mansion. Finally, Joan MacDowell shares some tips for making a leopard-print painted screen.
