Duplex Living Room Makeover

Host Joan Steffend and designer Nadia Ramirez transform a living room with little furniture and even less style into a cozy, inviting space for entertaining through a change in wall color, unique window treatments, a great serving table and much more. In Trash to Treasure, Steffend meets with craftsman Robb Whittlef to create useful and attractive furniture from garage sale finds; he makes a side table from old banister rails, a console table from a garden gate, and more. Next, Eunice Tenent and Marjorie Schooler from the IADA redesign a plain and uninspiring television room into a graceful and simplistic living space. Finally, Steffend and Ramirez discuss their favorite pieces and techniques from the day's makeover.
