4 yellow tulips per cup
4 orange tulips per cup

Ranunculas, mixed narcissi or daffodils will also work well.

3 straight-sided plain cups (4 x 3 inches) or any simple or plain cups or teacups
florist’s scissors

How to Arrange

1. Clean the cups thoroughly and fill them two-thirds full of water.

2. Loosely arrange four yellow and four orange tulip stems in one hand. Strip off any leaves that might end up sitting in the water and trim the ends of the stems so that the flower heads will sit just above the rim of each cup.

3. Place the stems in a cup and adjust them so that they fall naturally in a random and informal way. The straight sides of the cups will make the tulips easier to arrange. Repeat the same process for the two remaining cup arrangements. Then top up the water to just below the rim of each cup.

The flowers will last for a week if you keep them in good condition.

This arrangement works best with a minimum of three cups of tulips. Make as many or as few of these arrangements as you like to suit the space and to create the right effect.
