Insider Tips

- Water will leach out of the floral foam as you arrange the flowers. Allow a little time to pass after you have finished working on the pomander to allow more water can drain out before you hang it up, place it on a table or give it away.

- Add some pearl-topped pins to the center of each carnation flower head if you want to use the pomander for a special occasion or festive party.

- Mist the carnations with water to keep them fresh and the foam ball moist; this will help the pomander last for a few days.
