Capture the Magic of Winter With Up-ended Amaryllis
This show-stopping display brings a sense of fantasy to any winter celebration, and is surprisingly easy to make by combining bare birch twigs with live amaryllis flowers.

Up-ended amaryllis flowers are attached to the twigs with 22 gauge wire that has been threaded through the base of each stem. The hollow stems are filled with water to keep them alive.
Shape
This arrangement, with its mass of tall twigs, represents the shape of a bare tree in winter. The amaryllis flowers hanging from its branches are reminiscent of decorations on a Christmas tree.

The grand scale of these arching, spreading twigs contained within the "tree trunk" of the urn, and the unusual arrangement of amaryllis, create a sense of drama and delight.
