Project by Kristi Dailey.
Materials Tools:
12" x 12" scrapbook page for background
Toner Plastics' Fun Wire
18- and 24-gauge colored wire: gold, brown, green, blue, yellow
Papers by Catherine blue wave-pattern paper
Paper Cuts' brown paper
3" wide torn strip of Paper Cuts' yellow paper
2 clear flat marbles
plain glue stick
Steps:
1. Tear a strip of blue paper that resembles water, about one third of the page size, and crumple it for texture.
2. Flatten out the water paper and glue it as a strip on the bottom of the page.
3. Glue a smaller crumpled brown triangle piece of paper into the corner on the bottom-left of the page for a sandy beach. Also glue a yellow contrasting strip for the background of the wire writing on the top of the page.
4. To make the palm tree: Begin with copper wire and bend the trunk, wrapping all the way to the top and finishing off the copper wire by bending in three little loops for the coconuts.
5. Use green wire to bend four palm leaves and attach them to the tree trunk, by bending around the coconut area. Simply stitch the tree to the page on the sand triangle paper.
6. Bend the letters BEACH in blue wire, spiraling the ends of each piece of wire.
