Tube ribbon is a great way to encapsulate tiny memorabilia -- such as charms or souvenirs -- while also embellishing the page. Crafters can find tube ribbon in most craft supply stores.Julianna Hudgins adds decorative trim to a page using small treasures and tube ribbon.
Materials:
heavy cardstock or decorative paper
small scissors
tube ribbon
assortment of beads, sequins and appliques
tape
tiny treasures and small memorabilia
acid-free adhesive
mousepad
decorative scrapbook nailhead
craft stick
glue dot or white glue
Steps:
- Use scissors to cut two slits into heavy paper on the left side middle of page at a minimum of 1/2" inward, and approximately 1/4" apart.
- Cut a piece of tube ribbon 6 inches longer than paper size being used. For a 12 x 12 piece of paper you would cut a 18 inch long piece. Weave ribbon through both cuts, then place evenly on page so that excess ribbon is equal on top and bottom.
