Instructions provided by quilt artist Cindy Ramming.

Materials:

7/8 yard novelty cotton print for the center panel
5/8 yard coordinating cotton print for border #1
3/4 yard minkee dot fabric for border #2
3/4 yard coordinating cotton print for binding
spray adhesive
crib-size polyester batting

Preliminary Steps:

Cutting:
- Cut one rectangle 18" x 27" for the center panel.

Border #1:
- Cut three 6-inch strips across the width of the fabric.
- Then cut one of those strips in half for two 6" x 21" strips.

Border #2:
- Cut four 6-inch strips across the width of the fabric.

Binding:
- Cut 3-inch strips across the width of the fabric or on the bias if you prefer.

Steps:

1. Prewash and dry all fabrics before cutting to preshrink.

2. Use 1/2-seam allowance unless otherwise stated.

3. Place backing fabric right side down on a flat surface.

4. Apply spray adhesive to the wrong side of the backing.

5. Carefully lay batting on top of back. Avoiding any wrinkles.

6. Spray adhesive to the wrong side of the center panel and place it, right side up, in the center of the batting.

7. For first border, place a 6" x 21" strip right side down along the short (18") side of the center panel, matching raw edges.

8. Stitch through all layers.
