Are you stuck on creating quick pages? Try using stickers to create everything from photo borders to graphic elements. Designer Jenny Doke offers tips and techniques.

Tip: When you've only got one special photo, but want to feature it, try accompanying the photo with a sticker of the same theme to balance the page.

Materials and Tools:

2 sheets ocean blue solid 12" x 12" paper
1 sheet blush stripe 12" x 12" paper
1 sheet blush brush 12" x 12" paper
1 sheet bathtime stickers
3 white tags
photos
1 sheet white cardstock
24" strand of ocean blue thread
24" strand of yellow thread
adhesive

Steps:

First create the background by tearing ocean blue solid paper so that there is one 8-inch piece and one 3-inch piece. Adhere the ocean blue paper on top of the blush brush paper.

Next mat your photo and a bathtub sticker on white cardstock, then ocean blue, then blush stripe paper. Apply one of the splash borders across the bottom of your picture.

Select three of the smaller stickers and put onto the tags.

To create the title, put the Splish Splash sticker on white cardstock and cut out; this will ensure that the sticker stands out and will help tie together the sticker images.

Next, tie knots at 1-inch intervals in the ocean blue and yellow thread. Finally, adhere the title, pictures and tags to background paper and weave the thread through the tags at the bottom of the page.
