Rubber Band Stamped Scarf
This is such a quick and easy way to create a 10-minute designer scarf. With just a few rubber bands, a ready-made scarf, and some metallic paint, you'll have a unique scarf in no time. Project by Michelle Newman.

Materials and Tools:
9" x 54" black silk scarf
4" x 6" acrylic/plexi block
rubber bands, various widths
FolkArt metallic paint: 871 pure gold, 872 antique gold
Plaid Stamp Decor glaze roller
felt or foam padded surface
small glue gun
fabric glue sticks
20" beaded fringe
Steps:
1. Make a rubber band stamp by stretching and wrapping rubber bands around an acrylic block.
2. For variety, wrap rubber bands vertically, horizontally, diagonally, and crisscross them.
3. Roll paint onto stamp and print just like you would with a rubber stamp. Reapply paint after each print.
4. Create a subtle abstract pattern, and create additional surface interest by alternating between pure gold and antique gold paint.
