Completed "Ribbons and Stripes" spread

Ribbons and Stripes

Materials:

scissors
craft knife
double-sided adhesive
steel ruler
cutting mat
2 sheets - AG064 Blue Pattern
1 sheet - AG089 Platinum Pattern
2 sheets - AG432 Platinum Frame
2 sheets - AG420 Blue Frame
8 - Ivory Ribbon Corners
2-1/2 yds. Ivory Ribbon
one sheet - Ivory Card Stock

Steps:

Cut two 3" strips and two 2" strips from the AG089 Platinum repousse.
Lay out your two AG064 sheets and start from the center. By attaching the 3" strips on the inside edges of the blue repousse.

Leave a 4" strip of the blue repousse showing on both sheets and attach the 2" strip.

Figure B

Attach ribbons between the stripes of blue and platinum, butting the ribbon right up to the platinum sections.

Cut four, 3" x 2" rectangles for journaling. Add ribbon corners to top and bottom. Mount frames and journaling blocks.

Lacy Heirloom Page

Anna creates a lacy page with a twist—but reversing a patterned paper and eliminating negative space -- she creates a background with heirloom appeal.

Materials:

scissors
craft knife
double-Sided adhesive steel ruler
cutting mat
pop dots
1 sheet - AGO16 Solid Green
1 sheet - A0004 Cream and Green Stripe
1sheet - AG047 Brown Leaf
1 sheet - AG048 Green Leaf
1 sheet - AG039 Green Handwriting Paper
1 sheet - Ivory Paper
1 sheet - AG242 Green Journal Box

Steps:

Cut brown leaf paper to 11-1/4" square. Cut 4-1/2" x 7" rectangle from center. Remove all the negative space (white space) with a craft knife.

Cut four 1" strips and four 3/8" strips of striped paper and four 1/2" strips of handwriting paper. Adhere the handwriting strips down the center of the larger striped paper strips. Mount the larger strips to the outside edge and the smaller strips to the inside edge of the white (non-printed) side of the brown leaf print paper and miter the corners.

Mount photo to 3-3/4" x 4-3/4" ivory paper and 4-1/8" x 5-3/8" green leaf paper and mount on page. Tie a double ribbon bow and add to page. Add journal box to lower right corner of the page.

Cut two 7-1/4" x 1/4" and two 5" x 1/4" strips of AG004. Adding 1/4" frame strips around photo. Make a frame around the outer edge of the frame and miter the corners.

Adhere two butterfly stickers together to create butterfly embellishments, then trim excess clear sticker.

Make 5 butterflies, curling wings to create dimension, then adhere to page with pop dots.
