2. Make four pairs from the 10 rectangles and put the last pair to the side for now. On each pair, sew a square-cornered "U" that is 1 inch away from the edge on both sides and the bottom (figure A). Now you have a pocket in between the two pieces of felt. Repeat this process with the other three pairs.

3. Fill the pockets with a couple pinches of scented herbs such as lavender (figure B). Stitch across the top to close the pocket about 1/8 inch from the edge.

4. Lay one set of the scent-filled pouches on top of another and pin the two middle rectangle pieces of felt together at the sides and bottom. Edge stitch these pieces together where pinned (figure C). This will create a new bigger pouch.

5. Add another set of scented rectangles on top and repeat the process of sewing the middle edges together. Add the last pouch and repeat the process one more time. The pouches should look like an accordion at this point. You will now have a new set of three open pouches with scent-filled closed pouches in between and at the ends (figure D).

6. Decorate the last two rectangles with trim, embroidery or beads to become the front and the back. Place one of the decorated rectangles on the accordion of pouches and machine stitch at the edge to make another bigger pouch. Repeat with the back. Now there will be five bigger pouches total.

7. Thread a tapestry needle with 20 inches of ribbon. Push the needle in the right top hand corner of all of the pouches, front and back (approximately 1/2 inch from the side and 3/8 inch from the top) (figure E). Repeat on the left-hand side with a new piece of ribbon. Pull these ribbons tight and make bows to close the organizer (figure F).
