Materials and Tools:
wool felt pieces in desired palette of colors
wool roving
inkjet canvas
double-sided adhesive sheet
felting needles and foam felting pad or
needle-felting machine (optional)
ruler
pattern paper for tracing templates
marking pencil or pen
scissors
Steps:
1. Cut a rectangle from wool felt for the background.
2. Trace and cut flower and leaf shapes using templates and arrange onto felt background.
4. Add flower centers, leaf veins and other details using wool roving and hand needle felting.
6. Trim outer edges of rectangle to even up — a little distortion usually occurs during the felting process.
