Steps:

1. Turn on iron to highest setting.

2. Cut ribbon in the length you wish plus about 4 inches.

3. Lay tape on cutting mat with sticky side up.

4. Attach the letters to spell whatever word you want (figure A).

5. Mist the ribbon lightly with water. Place velvet carefully over letters.

6. Iron, being certain to place iron down evenly and either keep moving or do not let steam holes go over letters (figure B).

7. Pick up ribbon (figure C).

8. Fold over the top and secure with a piece of double-stick tape (figure D). Insert a scrap of paper or card board between the layers before adhering if desired for extra stability.

9. Make a hole in this top end of the bookmark with the end of the scissors (figure E). Place grommets in hole and set with grommet tool (figure F).

10. Attach tassel.

11. Roll bottom of ribbon over two times and secure with double-stick tape.

12. Cut a piece of beaded fringe the width of the ribbon and put a piece of the tape on wrong side of ribbon edge of the beaded fringe. Secure to bottom edge of book mark (figure G).
