They say it pays to get an early start in life, and that's certainly the case for Laguna Beach artist Kent Conklin. Kent first began working with clay at the age of 12. By the time he was 15, he was already employed as a professional potter. Today, he's a master molder and ceramicist with an elegant yet functional style. His works include large-scale vases and tile murals, but he's best known these days for his decorative fruit sculptures.
