Quilting expert Alex Anderson helps quilt maker Denise Howard keep her fabric scraps under control with a few simple pieces of advice:

  • Decide on a one or two scrap quilts that you'd like to make then save scraps for only those.

  • Cut scraps for these projects as you go.

  • Sort scraps by color.

  • Store scrap pieces in plastic bins for no more than two years.
