Lipstick Pouch
Materials and Tools:
18" of 1-3/4" wide metallic jacquard ribbon
7" of 3/8" wide gold silk satin ribbon
3" yellow rosebud trim
mini brass ribbon purse frame
gold metallic thread tassel
assorted small red beads
large lobster claw jewelry finding
white and red thread
needle
scissors
ruler
Steps:
1. Thread the ribbon through the mini brass frame until the raw ends of the ribbon are at the bottom of the pouch. Sew the ends together.
2. Using thread to match the ribbon, sew up the inner side seams of the lining and then the outer pouch.
3. Use 4-1/2 inches of gold silk satin ribbon and the U-gather stitch pattern to make a folded rose with gathered extension.
6. Decorate a simple thread tassel with a few beads. Attach this tassel to a jump ring and lobster claw jewelry finding. Clip the lobster claw closure on the purse frame rings. This keeps the purse frame closed.
Tip: String a very narrow piece of silk ribbon through the lobster claw's jump ring closure if you want to hang the lipstick case as a pendant.
