After buying this 1940s bungalow, the owners tried to create a bedroom that was a rich, romantic and daring retreat. Unfortunately, the light-mauve paint didn't do the job, and the purple bedding was all wrong. All in all, the clashing palette created a harsh effect, not the restful, romantic feel the couple was trying to achieve.
