The makeover starts with an earthy-brown, porcelain floor tile. Two paint colors cover the walls. Using a dual-tone paint treatment makes the room appear larger by drawing the eye upward. Sunny glass tile covers the vanity area and shower walls. A new soaking tub provides plenty of room for the homeowners to bathe their small son. The electric outlet has been upgraded, so the safety issues are no longer a concern. The one old light is replaced with three new fixtures — a combination light and exhaust fan in the center of the room, task lighting for the vanity and a recessed ceiling light in the shower. To personalize the space, a romantic drawing and a map showing the homeowners' countries of origin is framed in Plexiglas and hung underneath the new window.
