All About

This master bath was inspired by the homeowners’ vacation to Morocco. Their goal was to re-create an authentic tiled retreat that felt like it came right out of Casablanca. The designer expanded on the home’s Spanish design in the master bath by bringing in a little Indian influence, Moorish details, and, of course, lots of Moroccan-inspired elements. Custom-made Moorish-style tiles in an off-white color cover the walls throughout the bathroom. The silvery accent tiles used in the border were imported directly from Morocco.

Before the renovation, the homeowners had an awful view of the neighbor’s roof from the bathroom window. To solve that problem, the windows were redesigned to distort the view but still let in light. In keeping with the theme, the windows were given a Moorish-inspired frame with some lead iron detail.
