Hide CaptionShow CaptionThis bathroom's pink flamingo tiles are only one reason it is in desperate need of a makeover.
The décor in Koreen and Sean’s bathroom looks as if it came from the 1980s TV show Miami Vice. There are tacky pink flamingo tiles running throughout the room. The pink flamingos are not the only thing the homeowners can’t stand. The peeling wallpaper, Broadway-style lighting and dizzying floor are also on the top of their hate list. The couple has made a habit of peeling off the warped wallpaper while they wait for the shower to warm up. The patterned floor tile gives them vertigo and the large, glaring light strip over the sink looks like it belongs on a runway. To make matters worse, the color scheme is dated and the fixtures are barely functional. Designer Krista Watterworth and carpenter Marc Bartolomeo have a design plan that will wash away the 1980s bird bath and transform it into a relaxing retreat.
