With strips of leather and leather punch stamps, you can create a frame of distinction with this project.
Materials and Tools:
leather
utility knife
picture frame
water
sponge
leather punch stamps
rubber mallet
hot-glue gun
shoe polish
dry cloth
Steps:
1. Using a utility knife, cut the leather to fit the frame. Wet the leather by rubbing it with a wet sponge. Select appropriate leather punch stamps.
2. On a hard, level surface, place the leather punch directly on the wet leather and hit the end of it with the rubber mallet. The harder you hit the punch, the more visible the design will be. Random placement works best.
3. Using a hot-glue gun, attach the leather pieces to the frame. Rub shoe polish over the leather and then rub off any excess with a dry cloth.
