The Connors family is set to tackle their second floor. The bedrooms are bursting at the seams, and the laundry room is less than luxurious. They hire decorator Ann Arader, who has basic ideas of how to approach each problem area. Arader brings in designer Janet Stevenson for expert organizational advice. The plan is to modernize and organize the Connorses' laundry room and three bedrooms, bringing flexibility into the design to evolve with the children as they grow.
The Laundry Room
The laundry room needs some laundering of its own, with an inefficient table and baskets all over the place. When Arader caught a glimpse of the laundry room, she decided to call on a space planner. Arader finishes the laundry room with new window treatments and adds baskets with the kids' names on each for easy, decorative organization. A worktable with storage underneath, custom shelving above the work area and a drip-dry area over the sink were also added.
