Rebuilding New Orleans, One Home at a Time

Joining with Rebuilding Together on the fifth anniversary of Katrina, HGTV has helped to restore 50 homes devastated by the hurricane. Here's the story of one of those houses, a few of the many volunteers and the grateful homeowners.

One of the most badly damaged houses in Gentilly was the Ruffin family's home. The interior was gutted by Katrina and was unlivable. Here, volunteers frame the interior.
