Change the World 2009: Renovating the St. Louis Home

HGTV's Carter Oosterhouse and Monica Pedersen joined more than 350 volunteers from Rebuilding Together to renovate this home for homeless veterans. The volunteers donated some 3,000 hours on the project.

The two-story, four-bedroom home, which is located within walking distance of the John Cochran Veterans' Administration Medical Center, also gives veterans easy access to public transportation, groceries and community resources.
