Selecting a great color statement for paint is one of the best ways to make a limited budget travel a long way, and this room is the perfect example of that. Utilizing an acid green that gives the walls a fresh edge, Alice sets a dramatic backdrop for the injection of cobalt blue camping bowls and dishes that pop with interest. Furthermore, deconstructing her bookcase to create wall-hung display boxes for decorative items and books smartly opened up her visual space and showed she could innovatively utilize materials. Silver in the teapot gleams brightly, drawing your eye to key points of interest while still staying neutral so the acid green/cobalt scheme wasn't too much.
